In the subtexts of "The Maps of Tolkien's ..." John Howe ascertain us readers that all drawings and paintings are of his origin, and that he has both the legal and moral right to them.
Slightly surprised, hence, I was to find the - in Sweden - very well known painting called "The Cloud" reproduced in the authors name. This lovely painting hangs at "Valdermarsudde" in Stockholm, and was made by Prince Eugen, a brother of the late King of Sweden, Gustaf V.
So, how did you come to know of "The Cloud", and how on Earth did you think this would pass unnotised?
