Hi John. I hope the work is going well on The Hobbit! I'm very much looking forward to seeing some more of your images realised on the big screen. I was in Hungary last year in a book shop and I saw one of your art books. I couldn't help but buy it despite the fact that it was in Hungarian! Sign of good illustrations methinks 😀 Your work to me has forever been synonymous with Tolkien. The very first time I discovered Tolkien was when my father gave me a copy of The Hobbit with your iconic image of Smaug the Magnificent on the cover. Since then, there has been a quality to your work that has always since been Middle-Earth for me. Best of luck with the rest of the production in New Zealand!
